There is a lot of overlap in these areas, and I have most certainly
left out some papers that are probably gone gone gone... such is life.
I've tried to give the original publication information when possible
(i.e. when I could recall it). When I've been able to locate
the paper and link it here, I've also tried to preserve the original
formatting. Sometimes I gave up and only used the plain text, however,
for a few of the original word-processing applications I used are also gone
gone gone...
Probably the biggest chunk of writing I've done isn't listed in any of the
categories above. It's a blog I started when I was diagnosed with
multiple myeloma at the end of 2006:
I kept writing it, even after I went into remission. Hopefully as you
read this I am still there. There is also a fair amount of text
associated with my three "music books":
They are 'books with soundtracks', and I tend to think of them more as
music applications, but indeed they have words, many words.
reports/technical
Most of these papers were written about particular computer-music research
topics I was exploring, or they were reports on the Computer Music Center.
RTcmix Documentation

A lot of tutorials, etc. as well as the basic documentation for the
language. Several others (John Gibson, Dave Topper, Chris Bailey, etc.)
also contributed to this.
I discovered the joys of becoming earnest and strident
and writing about the Evils of Evil Stuff. The following papers
comment on aspects of doing computer music, being a composer,
living life, that don't fall into a specific conference or concert/performance
review. Tempted as I was to edit a few of these, I decided to keep
them in all their preachy glory. I'll probably continue to write more;
there is a lot wrong in the world!
Even though I have this listed as one of my "music" applications,
there is a lot of text in the book itself. I talk about what
music means to me, how it works, how I compose, etc.
I have this also listed as a "music" application, as it was both
a performance and the keynote speech at the 2007 Australasian
Computer Music Conference. The text really isn't written, but...
These are articles I wrote for our local newspapers about very local
politics. They probably won't make sense to anyone not familiar
with Roosevelt, New Jersy, but I get a real trip-down-memory-lane
kick from reading them. So here they are.
Henry John-Alder and I ran for seats on the Roosevelt Borough Council;
this was the 'candidate statement' I wrote that was published in our
local paper.
These are items that I couldn't really shoe-horn into any of the above
categories. Probably I shouldn't have included these at all, but they
seemed kind of fun. I figure this is mainly for me to read in my
Old Age anyhow, so here they are.
In general I'm sure I'm missing articles. I didn't really keep very good
track of things.
