Programming: Example Minim & Jsyn projects

We're going to spend today walking through some sound projects I've created with Processing/Java/Minim/JSyn.

infinite beets (Processing + Minim)
cars (Processing + Minim)
DopplerShift (Processing + JSyn)
fergie (Java + JSyn)
american thighs (Java + JSyn)
DissonantCounterpoint (Java + JSyn)
ride

Then we're going to build a quick image sonifyer! In like 30 minutes!

Also for next week, please bring as many of these things as you can. All available at RadioShack or from the innards of a broken toy. There are three or four RadioShacks close to campus. Keep walking south on Broadway until you find all that you need!

9 volt battery
9 volt battery connector
some resistors
photo resistors -- 5 to a pack, share with a friend!
some capacitors
piezo electric elements -- Get an "element", not a "buzzer" if you can.
some wire
small PC board -- Doesn't have to be this exact size.
14 pin IC socket

Optional:

soldering iron + solder
small hand tools
74C14 Hex Inverter IC (I'm looking at you, EE nerds!)
