Assignment 6 (due May 2):

Using maquettes, Final projects:

For this last assignment, you should examine maquettes and try your hand at using them for your own purposes. They serve as a 'sketchpad' for patches, MIDI or audio and also have some powerful functions for evaluation.

You can either use the patches you have already and arrange them temporally in a maquette, or you can try to use some other patches to use in a maquette.

Alternatively, you can also work on making a new patch for your final project. This last patch should be geared towards something that you would want to use in your own work. Draw upon your knowledge of omloops, libraries, and other materials for guidance.

Please contact me for any suggestions or help.

For more ideas, check out and see what other people have done with the last assignment here, or email the group list and ask around for suggestions.

Suggested objects: maquette.

Suggested Tutorials for reference: Tutorials 21, 28, 32. The Herma maquette example is also a valuable resource.

Please send me your maquette or patch by May 2, preferably by placing a copy of your project into the 'OMassignments' folder under my user directory on gurgle. Also email the group list at om_users@music.columbia.edu for any questions or suggestions for me or the other students.
