This is the README for the Ceres3 package for LINUX_i686 . The package should contain at least the following items:
	/<version>-bin_linux+icon+defaults/ceres3 the binary
	/<version>-bin_linux+icon+defaults/ceres3.icon the icon
	/<version>-bin_linux+icon+defaults/ Ceres3-ad
	/ceres3.c	sound_file.c the source
/sgi/	the directory with sgi-audiofile libraries and headers

	ceres3_readme
	ceres3LINUX_README (this file)
	makefile.linux_ix86 the makefile

	As with the original Ceres & Ceres2, you will need either Motif 1.2 or higher, libraries and headers. LessTif is not recommended anymore. Free version of Motif (OpenMotif-2.1.30) can be downloaded from here;

	http://www.osf.org/

In case the binary does not work you will have to do a two-step recompile.
1. cd to the tichstuff_ix86 and type make
2. cd to the ceres3-all and type make -f makefile.linux_ix86
You will bind the newly built binary in the same directory
Hint: If you want "sndplay" to be your default playback engine for ceres3 you
can fix it at compile time by adding the following flag to the makefile.linux_ix86

-DSND

INSTALL:
do it manually as su, or ask the administrator to do it for you.
-link the binary to some obvious place (/usr/bin)
-link the icon ceres3_i.xpm so it appears in the menus (/otp/kde/share/icons)
