Motivations for music
Artun's tutorial
I played some pieces done as gifts for friends; some used portions of
other pieces done by those friends, others just from scratch. Then
I played a few pieces intended as doucments-of-life (multiple myeloma
in this case).
Artun took over when I had to leave and went through some basic Max
operations.
Music Links
- rePphage
-- done with music stolen from the Freight Elevator Quartet's piece
Pianophage
(skip in to time 34:05). Luke Dubois was one of the principle
architects of the band, but they were all good friends. A holiday
gift if I remember correctly.
- Some Parts I Like
-- for Sam Pluta, using a small excerpt from the piece
fusion
(skip in to time 1:15 for the segment of sound I used) on the
CD sum and difference.
- craicness
-- a small piece done after a night 'craic' with friends Dan Trueman
and Iarla Ó Lionáird.
- GuitarMiller
-- fun with a recording of guitar-jamming by Miller Puckette.
- atmen
-- trying to breathe when my immune system was decimated. Hospital
in Interlaken, Switzerland.
- continuance
-- Me playing guitar, waiting for a room in the stem cell
transplant unit at Weill-Cornell hospital.
- through
-- the transplant. Three weeks of... 'fun'
