Please send me 5 chords consisting of a minimum of 4 notes and a max of 8 notes. The chord progression should work forward and backward without repeating chords.
Bonus if they are frequencies instead of equal tempered pitches.
I sat down and came up with a progression, and then modified it to
a neo-Pythagorean tuning (I wanted the bonus!) and sent it off to Seth.
But I also liked the original. Hey, I'm an equal-tempered kinda guy.
I made repeating arpeggio/sequences out of each chord and let them run
for 30 seconds each, ordering them by the original progression I did
for Seth. This was to 'front load' the
paulXstretch app
like I had done on several other pieces. Adjusting the stretch factor and
setting the FFT size to achieve a fair amount of 'smearing' produced the
20 minute bed of sound used in stretchdelay1. I then added some
additional 12-string guitar plucks and synth sequences. stretchdelay1amb
is the original stretched sound without those additions. Why did I add
them? Dunno. Maybe I wanted to see if I could put in a little more
'movement' in the piece. I like them both.
