Wayne Siegel

Wayne Siegel (b. 1953), American composer living in Denmark, has written music in many genres, ranging from computer music to orchestral works, from chamber music to opera. His works fall between genres, fusing diverse cultural elements and compositional techniques. Leading international artists, including the Kronos Quartet, Singcircle and Harry Sparnaay, have commissioned works from him, and his music is performed widely throughout the world. Since 1986 he has been employed as director of Denmark's national computer music center, DIEM. He was chairman of ICMC 94 in Aarhus and he served as chairman of the two music commissions of the Danish Arts Foundation from 1996-1998.
