Don Pazel

Don Pazel has been with IBM Research since 1975. He specializes in programming languages and tools, distributed systems, and interactive media. He has been lead several major visual program debugging projects including a visual debugger for distributed programs. He joined the Computer Music Center in 1997, and has been involved in the development of MusicSketcher.

He also works in the area of visual programming languages. Don received a B.S. in mathematics from LaSalle University in 1972 and an M.S. in mathematics from the University of Virginia in 1973. He studied piano with Ralph Burkhart and Pauline Lederer, and he holds a performance diploma in piano from the Westchester Conservatory of Music. He also studied composition with Dr. Ruth Schonthal.
