Saburo Hirano

Saburo Hirano is a Media Artist born in Japan in 1963. Mr. Hirano received a Master of Design in Audio and Visual Communication studies from Kyushu Institute of Design in 1988, and since 1991, he has been teaching Teaching at Kyoto SEIKA Univ. Visual Communication Department. He has also held positions at the i&i CO,.LTD Multimedia Div (1994-1997); the Yamaha Corporation Professional Audio Division, developing software of Digital effector, e.g. SPX990 (1994-1998); a research position at Kanagawa University (1997-1998), and a teaching position at Waseda University Media Network Center. Mr. Hirano has created sound or music works for many types of media, including video, installation, CG, and WWW. He has also collaborated in Kosugi and Ando's installation work as a sound designer and a computer programmer for video & sound control and has created sound tracks for Shinsuke Ina's video art works. Mr. Hirano is a member of the Japan Music And Computer Science Society and sits as the Director of the Soundscape Association of Japan.
