Mike Murray Mike Murray

Cardiff based visual artist Mike Murray will discuss the visual poetry in his work using everyday objects which move, born out of a love for Collage. The movement in his work derives from means of engaging the viewer for a longer period of time so he/she will uncover some form of narrative between objects. This idea was then further developed into performance assemblage sculpture, based on everyday behaviours.

Julia Thomas Julia Thomas and Clare Potter

In the collaboration of Julia Thomas and Clare Potter we have the coming together of two very different types of artist: Thomas, a multi-media visual artist working within Arts and Health, and Potter, a poet, storyteller and performer. Together they will utilise Thomas’ technical background within science alongside Potter’s expression of the written word to create an interactive artwork exploring the process of expressing ‘the unseen and the unspoken’. Sonic whisperings will hint at emotional revelations, as a visual projection will respond to the intensity of the audio. Julia will talk about the project so far, the joys of collaboration and how they’ve been getting to grips with the hardware and software.
Olivia Kotsifa Olivia Kotsifa

Architect and dreamer, Olivia works as a lecturer in the Cardiff school of art and design. Her research is based on responsive environments and she is also interested in collaborative design projects. She will be presenting an ongoing collaborative project for an interactive performance which will take place in France and involves landscape design, sound, visuals and …. Snow.. lots of snow!
