Week 4: 2/14 lecture : Invited guest, Rosalee Goldberg: <an historian of multi-media/interactive installations and performance, who will provide an historical and critical foundation for class work>

Week 5: 2/21 lecture: Student Presentations: <students give short presentations about individual artistic and aesthetic concerns and creative goals>

lab: initial matching of students for collaborative projects 

Week 6: 2/28 lecture/lab: Technology Theory I: <initial hardware/software design considerations, software theory, focused time-critical applications> (Brad, Dan, Thomas, Luke, etc...)

lab: critique of student proposals

lecture: Technology Theory II: <advanced problem-solving approaches, perceptual considerations, design for specific modes of interaction, installation "robustness"> (Ron, James)

lab: specific examples following the lecture

Week 9: 3/27 lecture: Invited guest, Eliot Sharp: involved in interactive performance systems, able to relate practical experience in interactive/multimedia installations>

lab: meeting with tech-support person for Sharp

lecture: Invited guest, Joe Mellilo, Executive Artistic Director, Brooklyn Academy of Music: <to give perspective on production phase and the finished project presentation>
