More Unity + RTcmix
We knocked down a few walls and put ourselves "in" the scene, added a few
towers and a nice, cold wind sound in the background. More to come!
Links
- last week's class
-- this has the RTcmix-unity-files.zip file archive containing
the RTcmix files, etc. you will need to create a Unity/RTcmix project.
[note: the "classdemo4" project in the "Class Downlaods" below has
the necessary files included]. You may especially want the 'scoralyzer'
program to convert CMIX/[rtcmix~] scorefiles to Unity String format.
Last week's class also has instructions for creating a new Unity/RTcmix
project or renaming an existing one.
Class Downloads
- week11-patches.zip
-- this has only one Max/MSP patch, "bgwind.maxpat". Note the use
of two different scripts [openscript 0]/[openscript 1] and
[goscript 0]/[goscript 1] on the [rtcmix~] object for initializing
and then running the sound. These get put into the Start() and
Update() functions respectively in the rtcmixmain.cs script in
Unity.
- classdemo4.zip
-- the three towers with the ground/terrain and the wind sound.
I added the third tower (we ran out of time in class), but made it
a rectangle instead of a cylinder. It Will Be Different (and to be
honest we're planning to replace these platonic towers with something
more interesting in the next few weeks).
