computer keyboard fun
Yes, you can be as interactive as all get-out (as we used to say in
Hoosier-land) with your ASCII keyboard. Plus you can enjoy text
in a whole new-modality kind of way.
Links
The only real links for this week's class are to javascript tutorials.
- w3schools.com js tutorial
-- this is the link I have on the main class page. It's pretty good,
although it's really aimed at web development.
- tutorialspoint js
-- this also is aimed at js in a web context (it seems they all are), but
the presentation is a bit more compact than the w3schools tutorial.
If you google "javascript tutorials" you will get a blue billion of
these (yeah, Hoosierness again), You can pick and choose if you'd like.
Also, the Max/MSP js tutorial (go to their "reference" link) is
pretty good, and it's also essential for understanding the [js]
object.
Class Downloads
- week2-patches.zip
-- the patches we did in class.
[NOTE: This archive also contains a basic Logic project with a track
set up to receive MIDI data generated by the [noteout]
object when set to the IAC bus or the "from Max*" busses.]
