Basic introduction to connecting hardware interfaces to the control
"handles" we had imbedded in our prior class process examples.
These were mainly keyboards, sliders, etc., although we did have
fun hooking up Jeff Snyder's manta interface and seeing
how a complex device could itself embody an unfolding musical
process.
We also finished up class presentations, some more nice work!
week7-classpatches.zip
-- the patches we did in class. The "time-and-pitch" folder
has the modifications and hardware 'hooks' for the class patches
we began to develop in week 4;
the techniques used to capture pitch and time information and use it
as part of an on-going playback sequence. The "manta-examples" folder
has the basic manta patch plus the sequencer example. "mouse-map"
has the simple patch we did with Ana's idea of using map-location
to determine sound playback.
REMEMBER THAT CLASS IS MOVED TO THURSDAY, MARCH 14 NEXT WEEK
BECAUSE OF THE
Columbia Composers CONCERT ON MARCH 12
