some of the music I played at the beginning of class:


• CAT Angle Project 1-A VersionA.mp3 -- the 'exquisite corpse'-like piece done by AJ Stillabower
• Live from Lawrenceville -- streaming improvisation (solo) done by Karl Fury
• Karl Fury and Tom Bruce 7 11 20 -- streaming two person (interactive) improv done by Karl and Tom Bruce (collectively known as "Beard Farm")
• BFLT Trio livestream show, 2020-09-18 -- three people, live interactive. (these pieces were hosted by Nick's International Virtual Garage)

• shoutcast -- the original. Costs $$$.
• icecast (icecast2) -- popular and free. latency issues.
• WebRTC -- a peer-to-peer thing, I think. Javascript lib for settup up web/media connections. Not a streaming server per se (I think)
• Rocket Streaming Audio Server (RSAS) -- the one we used in class.
  
  broadcasting packages (for sending your audi to a streaming server):
  
  
• Rocket Broadcaster -- the one from the RSAS people. Windows only.
• OBS Studio -- popular package. Windows/OSX/Linux
  streamlabs -- Damon Holzborn suggested to include this. Based on OBS, but supposedly more user-friendly. OSX only.
• AltaCast -- used to be called "edcast", but there was a copyrigt conflict with the name. Used a lot with older icecast systems. Windows only.
• BUTT (Broadcast Using This Tool -- straighforward (I think) package for Windows/OSX/Linux
• iziCast -- from the BUTT guy; a package for iOS
• LadioCast -- OSX app in the App Store.
