Artificial Life, Bio-simulations and
Special Guest
Dave Sulzer
Oh my, we're compressing a few things to get caught up fro the missed class
due to Hurricane Sandy. Fortunately Dave was able to reschdule his
visit to us for this week. Good presentation -- Dave discussed several
of his projects, including his new 'Celtic Knot' idea and the project
I'm doing with him about "musical evolution". Prior to Dave's talk,
I did a short tour of some of the Artificial Life work available
on the web (google it, it's a big area of research) and I talked about
some of my own goofy forays into using crude biological models as
methodologies for generating interesting data. I did get into different
'levels' of simulation a little bit.
