sonifying datasets (local data)
plus a presentation of his work by
Mark Santolucito
video of this class
We found some fun datasets on the web and downloaded them for mapping
onto musical parameters. Our good friend/colleague Mark Santolucito
had created an elegent javascript object for traversing excel spread
sheets, so he spoke about how it worked and also about his own work
with music-languages and live coding (among other things). A really
good class!

-- the patches we did in class, along with the (properly-formatted)
datasets we used. These also include the
markobj-extended.js
javascript code with the [findbounds], [reset] and [listout]
commands added. You use it by putting the markobj-extended.js
code into a file, and then in that directory open a Max patch
and instantiate an object [js markobj-extended.js name-of-dataset.csv]
