physical models tour with [rtcmix~]
a discussion and look at the physical modeling instruments in
[rtcmix~]

Applications and Examples
Again, there were no real 'class patches' for this
one; we used the [scorefile sampler]
subpatch of the rtcmix~ help patcher to demonstrate
the physical-model algorithms (generally the "M***" instruments)
available in RTcmix.
Most of these are derived from Perry Cook and Gary Scavone's models
in the
Synthesis ToolKit.
Perry has written an excellent book that covers these models (and other
audio DSP techniques,
"Real Sound Synthesis for Interactive Application"
for those who would like to learn more about these models.
Julius Smith also has a number of his papers on modeling available
on-line:
Julius O. Smith Publications,
including some good tutorials.
