Even More Filters (LPC)
the amazing world of linear-predictive coding (LPC)
Links
LPC is a very popular and powerful speech-synthesis technique. As a result,
there are about a billion "LPC signal processing" links in Google.
The best advice I can offer is to get a good DSP text and go from
there if you are seriously interested in learning the ins & outs of
how LPC actually works.
In addition to speech, LPC can also be used for a wide range of
sounds that can be modeled using a 'source/filter' approach.
In the [rtcmix~] help patch is even a model of my good
old dog

One important link is to Doug Scott's MiXViews program for
doing the LPC analysis and data-manipulation:
Applications and Examples
