Michael Schumacher: Multi-channel installations

Michael Schumacher will talk about his work in computer-generated, multi-speaker installations. He'll describe some of the compositional techniques he uses and play a 5.1 surround sound version of one of his pieces. Additionally, he will talk about his sound installation gallery, Diapason, it's history and future, and the reasons for its existence. Finally, he'll talk about a new venture, called Sustento, which creates and sells multi-channel sound art collections to individuals for installation in their homes.
