We talked about approaches used to crafting "tape music", various soundfile

Applications and Examples
These are the soundfile mixing applications we discussed briefly in
class:
- the Mix program
-- free OSX/Linux basic soundfile mixer (from here at Columbia!)
- QRT
-- Doug Scott's text/graphic-based soundfile mixer (go Lions!)
- DP4
-- MOTU's popular "Digital Performer" commercial mixer
Two things I thought about after class -- First of all, I forgot to emphasize
that mixing soundfiles is nothing more than adding sample number-values
together. I'll make this point at the beginning of the next class (if
I don't forget).
I also discovered that it is indeed possible to "pluggo-ize" Max/MSP
patches for use in ProTools. Later in the term we can ask Luke DuBois
for more information about how to do this.
