This was another one that rolled off the ambient-machine assembly line,
landing just before I left to go back to Columbia for my final(!)
semester. As with the previous
seqdelays,
I didn't put in the time.effort to write this 'additional commentary'.
I also left an abbreviated text file for this one, containing the

RTcmix sequencer
The "why is it '1'?" query is a mystery, obviously related to the
fact that the main piece here is named stretchseq1 and not
just stretchseq. I think it had something to do with the
paulstretch
part of the
production of the pieces -- I seem to recall doing several versions
before settling on this one.
The "RTcmix sequencer" entry points to the more refined use of the
rtcmix~ Max/MSP object to design and use custom-built sequencing
algorithms. Or at least I think it does. I plan to do more
with this approach in the future.
