As I noted in the main page for these three pieces, I was still in a 'semi-anbient' mood when I did them. Ah, Whidbey Island! Ah, semi-retirement! I said that these were really fun pieces to do, and they were. They practically wrote themselves with long time-stretch I appled. A lot of the 'composing' I did was really 'listening'. I can do that!

I was making a lot of music during the first few months of 2024. I was enjoying the relative freedom I had here, and I also felt compelled to make something out of that freedom. I put these three pieces away quickly after I finished them, but then came back later to give them a more focussed audition. They were better than I remembered, especially the third one. They had more depth than I thought.
