The
original web site
for these pieces has most of the 'back story'. One of the funnier aspects
was related to Jill's retirement. Because she's doing a lot of her work
at home now, she got to hear what I was doing when I performed the
delayed-piano piece. I was using headphones, so all she could
hear was me hitting single piano notes, very widely spaced. She said
it was very strange.
But not nearly as strange as when I did the voice-delay stuff. Yeah,
headphones again. The joys of living with a musician.
