This was part of a series of "remixes" I did, probably trying to pretend
like I was young and hip once again. Actually, I thought of them as
Christmas presents, this one for Luke DuBois, Steven Kreiger and the
FEQ crew.
I mainly excised some short guitar parts that Luke played, and modified
them a bit using the
ceres
(the link is for the latest incarnation) spectral editor. I like the
'firework bass drum' sounds in this one. The chords behind them were
done using an RTcmix hard-sync oscillator instrument that I wrote
as a FORTRAN MIX instrument back in 1984; yikes. Also there are
rubbed glass sounds -- always a good sonic idea.
