It is surprising how much variance there is from year-to-year in the
level of insect/frog noises in our back yard at the end of July.
Seasonal conditions really affect how the night sounds.
Like I said on my "music" web page, I've used this recording a lot.
I love the sound. And something about sounds at a distance, filtered
through the woods; there is mystery and darkness, but also a sense of
'place' that seems just about right.
