Ambient Bach

hardware:   Apple MacBook M4 Air, Behringer System 35 modular synth
software:   Apple Logic Pro X

Using a system similar to the "Wendy Carlos" Moog done for the original Switched-On Bach unlocked a lot more timbral capabilities than the original set I did almost fifty years ago using my Micromoog synthesizers. I wonder if I can find those original tapes. I'll be cleaning out my Columbia office in a few weeks.

I was concerned about the pacing of the music. Was it too fast, too slow? How did I do the originals? I tried some speeding/slowing experiments with the paulstretch.app, but the results weren't good. Too 'smeared'. I also need to work on my ability to 'play' the Model 35. Some of the chords I tried to timbrally emphasize in fhe third piece are a little too stark.

But by and large I like these. I think I'll do some more in The Future.
