I mentioned in my
additional commentary for delchords
that I had thought of an alternative approach for setting up a long-delay
system. ARPdelay uses that system -- basically I run the input from
the ARP-clone synthesizer directly into Max/MSP and set up the delay there,
routing the long-delayed output into Logic for recording. This did
seem to work much better (i.e. it didn't stop after 5 minutes or so!)
than my earlier approach, although it did preclude any sig-processing
I might want to do from the Logic signal back through the delay.
But it was also more similar to the original 'long delay' system
I used back in the good ole analog days.
As with the
delchords
piece, I performed this 'live'. I didn't use a keyboard on this one, though.
Instead I tuned the oscillators 'by hand' using the ARP-clone sliders.
