I took to stopping by Elizabeth's office in Dodge Hall in the mornings, just to hang out, talk about projects (we did several others together -- Elizabeth was one savvy techno-librarian!), discuss world affairs, engage in academic gossip... these were happy days. When I became the Director of the CMC, I started spending most of my time down at Prentis. I didn't see Elizabeth as much as before. But our connection still remained strong, and I am very thankful that I was able to work with a colleague as talented and gracious as Elizabeth.
This short piece is a small acknowledgment of the debt I owe Elizabeth for the work we did together. As homage to that work, I recorded a phrase of Yiddish and did some signal-processing on it to build the composition.
