PG: SEAMUS 2008 Conference "President's Reception" Peformance
4/3/2008
(mp3 file)
Performed at the Art Barn on the University of Utah
campus as part of the SEAMUS Conference. Here's a fun fact about this
piece: the SEAMUS Conference was dedicated to the music of Vladimir
Ussachevsky, and Terry had found what we believe is the first recording
Vladimir ever made (early 1950's) at Columbia. The 'swelling backwards
piano' sound heard repeating towards the beginning and end of our performance
is taken from that recording.
