Set up the RTcmix/sound server, click on connect, start the sound and go!

This shows how new computer interfaces can be used to explore relatively complex sound-synthesis algorithms in an intuitive and fun manner. At the same time, a sense of how a sonic space may be organized is shown.

The digital FM sound synthesis algorithm was developed by John Chowning in the late 1960's. The interface and code used here was written by Brad Garton.
